Calder produce lead shot, graded to ensure consistency in size and quality and is a major supplier of fine-grade lead shot, used by the steel industry worldwide. Among other uses, shot is mixed with epoxy resin and poured into yacht keels for ballast purposes, or mixed with concrete for civil radiation shielding.
