Policy Statement

Calder Industrial Materials Limited is involved in the design, manufacture and installation of lead and lead alloy products and the manufacture and supply of lead roofing products and services for the building trade.

The Company recognises its responsibilities with respect to Health and Safety and regards the implementation of its Health and Safety Policy as a management responsibility.

Health and Safety management takes priority over all other company activities.

Calder Industrial Materials Limited is committed to: -

  • Complying fully with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and other requirements relative to the site or customers.
  • Providing and maintaining working conditions, equipment and safe systems of work for all employees with a commitment to preventing ill health and injury.
  • Ensuring that all employees receive information, instruction and training and are aware of their duties and responsibilities towards themselves and others.
  • Continually monitoring health and safety performance with the objective of continually improving and raising standards to reach zero accidents.

These commitments extend to other people who may be affected by the works activities such as contractors, visitors, customers and the general public.

This policy and its implementation will be reviewed to reflect changes within the company and changes in legislation.

This policy will be brought to the attention of all employees, (both in management and other service functions) as they have an important role in complying with this policy.
