Calder invests in new Industrial Laser & Press Brake
Due to continued expansion, Calder’s Chester Special Products factory has invested in some new fabrication equipment. The company has purchased from LVD UK an industrial laser and computer controlled press brake to further enhance its fabrication facility. CAD drawings and models can be electronically sent from our design office to the new machines for manufacturing. We are now able to laser cut mild steel up to 16mm, stainless up to 8mm and aluminum up to 6mm thick. Our new press brake is 135 tonne & 3 metres long enabling us to bend long panels and complex shapes. “We are constantly upgrading our facility to further enhance our capabilities and to broaden the scope of work we can offer our clients” said Calder’s MD Maurice Bailey. We have also recruited some key personnel to assist us in our expansion plans. The new skills coupled to the existing team make an unbeatable combination. We are ready for anything and 9 times out of 10 will tackle any project within our sphere of expertise; our mantra: “the answer is yes”!
