Calder specialises in the design and production of synchrotron beamline hutches or cabins / shielded enclosures. We manufacture all the high quality lead used to create radiation shielding for both optics and experimental hutches, guaranteeing their safety and integrity.  Every Calder hutch is bespoke, tailored to meet the shielding requirements of the application it is built for. Real world functionality is provided by features including sliding or hinged doors, alignment and viewing windows, entry chicanes and roof access points. Bremsstrahlung walls and beam tube shielding can also be incorporated if required.
